Half way there...the big SIX months old!

Can you believe it?
Jacob is already six months old...halfway there!
He's sitting up on his own (has been for awhile now),
and, of course, he's all smiles!
"Look, Ma, only one hand!"

"Cheese!" Jacob is all about posing for the camera
with his bear (i.e. monthly birthday buddy).

Jacob's toes have been a favorite of his for months now...
he can keep himself amused with them for quite a while.

Thanks for checking out my pics...I'll see you next month!
Love,
"Jakers"

Emily's Rowing Banquet

We wrapped up Emily's rowing season with a banquet at the high school. Emily was all smiles as Coach Lucas had some great compliments for all of Emily's hard work and her ability to "grow into her body"...she's 5'11"! Emily was also beaming as Coach Lucas presented her with a varsity letter for all her efforts. Nice job, Em!

Happy Halloween!

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!
Jacob's first Halloween was a great one.
His costume was very fitting, being that he absolutely loves "Itsy Bitsy Spider".
Well, there wasn't anything itsy bitsy about our little guy,
but he was still an adorable spider jus the same.
We had the costume on him last week for pictures at JCPenney's;
it wasn't as big of a hit for him then.
This time, much better.
Maybe he thought he would get some candy out of the deal....
sorry Jacob, stick to bananas and green beans!

Look at me!

Oh, yeah, this spider can get up on all fours....
crawling is just around the corner....

Here's one spider that can melt your heart...

Well, after we visited a few neighbors we felt Jacob
would be a little more comfortable in his 1st Halloween pajamas.

Hope you had a very Happy Halloween,
filled with a lot of treats!

I guess Jacob isn't ready for any Thrillers yet....sorry, Greg!
Greg being in 6th grade now wasn't all about the pictures...
or the Halloween costume for that matter,
so treasure this one shot with his mask, it's all we got.

Sleep tight! GOOD NIGHT!

Play Time with Jacob

Well, whether it's play time, nap time, bath time, bed time, day care time, etc....Jacob is all smiles. We're so lucky! Waking up to this little face every morning can't help but start your morning out right...

Right now Jacob is doing the "slide"...i.e. you put him on his blanket in one spot and within seconds he's to the other side or off the blanket. Not crawling yet, but he's working on it every day.

Jacob also loves books. Our neighbor Kendyl loves to visit with Jacob, too. She's reading him one of his favorite books...Playtime Peekaboo.

Jacob is also sitting up much better these days. Of course, he still wobbles now and then, but it's amazing how much stronger he's getting every day.

Peekaboo! Do you see me?

Football Fun!

Well, Josh and Jaime came out for the OSU/Penn State football game. We had all the right ingredients for great, big game - no rain, friends and family, good food at out tailgate, and two good football teams. It was a big game, but it didn't turn out to be quite the big game we had hoped. There's always next year...
