Emily's 15th Birthday ~ HAPPY BIRTHDAY!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU, HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU,
HAPPY BIRTHDAY, DEAR EMILY,
HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU!!!
Emily turned the big 15 last week...much to her father's dismay.
She may look like a kid in these pictures,
but once the hair is straightened, make-up is on, etc...
she'll be lucky if her father let's her out of his eyesight until she's 30!
....which may not be a bad thing. :-D

After a trip to Emily's favorite restaurant, SONIC, which recently opened up in Lewis Center, we celebrated at home with some red velvet cake, ice cream and some gifts.

Some SUPER MODEL cologne from Vicky's...a purse, some body toiletries, and more!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, EM!

Look who, just turned TWO months old!

On July 7th, Jacob turned two months old!
It's hard to believe how quickly time has flown by.
So, we were back at it with Jacob's bear...
it's neat to go back and compare these photos
with his one month old pics. with his furry friend.
So many more smiles now...he's really getting strong, too.
Jacob is holding his head up very well,
stretching out those long legs and standing with help (of course),
rolling over from his stomach to back, and more!
Each day is full of excitement!

A little shout out and wave to his friends and fans...

Check out the dimples! Too cute!

Even sitting up with a little help in holding Mommy's hand!
Yep, his buddy is all ears...
Boy, that must have been a funny joke!
...now here's the real game plan...
Check back next month for my three month old pics.!

Our Little Firecracker!

Yep, that's our little "firecracker"!
Well, that's what it says on his outfit.
Actually, he' s a wonderful baby;
we're quite lucky.

Jacob celebrated his first Fourth of July last week
in his red, white, and blue onesie and bib,
complete with fireworks
(which he managed to sleep through) and friends!!!!

Maybe next year he'll actually manage to stay awake
and see some sparks!

Oh, yeah, he's ALL about the camera!

We're fortunate to get a lot of smiles quite often!

These photo shoots can really be hard work!!!

Just a little flirt...

Yep, he sure knows how to work the camera...
Jacob enjoys chilling out on his Boppy
and capturing the camera with his deep, blue eyes.
There's no doubt about it, we're smitten kitten for him!

Our New Home...coming along

Well, the good news turned into bad news...the home is back on the market. It looks like the buyer's situation changed. So, we're back to square one. Please keep your fingers crossed and say your prayers for us as we go back to "showings galore"!!! I guess that's a good thing, we're just ready to kick back and not clean every day! LOL

Below are some pics. of our new home, which is in the works. The first photo is them preparing to pour the basement. The second photo shows our garage floor done and soon-to-be driveway. The last photo is the basement, a work-in-progress. We'll keep you updated on our move-in progress. Say your prayers that the weather gets warmer and stays relatively dry so that work on the house can keep moving along...and in the prayer that we find a new buyer for our current home, too. We'd love to be in our new house for at least a few of the Buckeye games!

If you were wondering, we'll be moving into the school district where both Bickley and I teach (that is once we sell this house and move into the new home). We'll forward you our temporary address and then permanent address through the emails where we let you know that we've updated the blog!

Jacob's Baptism

Here's the precious, little angel all dressed up in his Sunday best,
thanks to Gigi (i.e. G.G. - Great Grandma, i.e. Pat!!!)!
Jacob Allan was baptized on Sunday
by Reverend Janice, the same Reverend
who married Jim and I just two and a half years ago.
The service was very nice, especially when Reverend Janice
involved the children and the congregation in welcoming
Jacob into the church family.
Jacob was a complete angel throughout the entire service...
he slept until we needed to wake him up for his shining moment.
He let Reverend Janice "do her thing" without even a whimper.
After church he cried for a few minutes,
but then took a nap through the entire dinner.
He's something else! We're definitely blessed
that he's such a good baby...
and that he has amazing timing!!!

Reverend Janice holding and baptizing Jacob as we all look on.

Reverend Janice asks the congregation if they'll all help Jacob when in need...pick him up if he falls, be there for him if he is lonely,
comfort him when he is sad, and so on....
It really was a nice service - brought tears to my eyes;
hard to put into words, though.

Proud parents holding Jacob

Dad, Greg, Mom, Jacob, and Emily

The Bickley side of the family -

Grandma, Aunt Kathy, Jacob, Dad/Jim,

Matt, Greg, Mom/Jennifer, and Emily

The Bickley siblings...Greg, Emily, and Jacob

The proud big brother wants a chance to hold Jacob, too!
The Cybak side of the family - Dad/Bickley, Greg,
Grammy, Jacob, Mom/Jennifer, Pappy, Emily

It wasn't fair that Grammy patiently waited

to the very end to hold Jacob.

By then, he was all out of "Kodak moments"!

Sound asleep at Buca de Bepo!

Jamie and Jennifer
Emily and Aunt Kathy
Aunt Kathy, Greg, and Matt...all smiles!
We also celebrate Greg's birthday
again with his Grandma, Aunt Kathy, and Matt.
Hey, who said your birthday can't last for an entire week?!?!

Jennifer and Jacob

Jacob, Grammy, and Pappy
What a handsome, little bugger!
...yep, still napping...
Yep, Pappy can get Jacob to wake up
and be all bright-eyed and bushy tailed without a problem!
Something tells me that Pappy is a big fan of Jacob's!

Happy 12th Birthday, Greg!

We celebrated Greg's 12th Birthday with his choice of restaurants, and, well, Dave & Buster's won out! After a great meal with the family, including Grammy & Pappy who were in for the weekend, Greg opened up his gifts.

He's maturing, as you know, so he did stop and take time to read all of his cards this year. He was thrilled with his new, digital camera, as you can see from his expression below. He also loved the gift cards that Grammy & Pappy got him, as well as the good-smelling cologne Emily picked out for him.

After Greg opened his gifts, we all dug into the chocolate and goodies...leave it to Grammy to really kick things up a notch, as she showed us all that the marshmallows tasted best roasted over the fire. Hmmmm...what would she have said if we would have done that us kids?!?! I guess that's what happens when you're promoted to the grandparent stage.

After dessert, we all played some games...well, Jacob chilled out with Grammy but the rest of us gave it a shot. ...Greg literally gave it a shot, because he just knew there wouldn't be any bbgun to unwrap as long as his Dad and I had anything to do with it.

The family all smiles for the camera! HAPPY BIRTHDAY, GREG! Hope all your birthday wishes came true!!!
