"Only in Chicago..."

Well, being that Jacob is just a newborn, we didn't take any major vacations this summer.

Of course, we couldn't pass up a little road trip to Chicago to see our dear friends Brittney and Brad...especially when we knew we'd have the chance to check out Brittney's "baby bump".

We're so thrilled for both Brittney and Brad, and we're eagerly waiting baby Decklan or Lucy...

we figure Jacob either gets a new bro to hang out with or a cute girlfriend!

Britt's due in January...we'll keep you posted.

Our trip to Chicago was filled with a lot of firsts for Jacob, we spent one night in a hotel so Jacob had his first hotel stay...we also road the train, so that was a new experience as well.

We loved the tour at the Hancock Observatory...check out this view!

Of course, we couldn't pass up the opportunity to pose Jacob in front of the skyline either!

Friday evening we went out to dinner...on the patio of a local "establishment".

"Cheese!" I have to say, Jacob was a trooper in his Baby Bjorn.

He was a complete angel all afternoon; we are definitely lucky!

After the game, Jacob got kicked out of his first "establishment". I guess Bernie's I.D.s...so, the girls and Jacob walked around the town and checked out some stores and the cutest DQ.
