Yep, it's official, she's even deeper into those teenage years! Emily has turned the big 14! For her birthday we surprised her with a bedroom makeover...Jennifer and Jim style...long gone are those bright turquoise walls and the purple, turquoise and lime green bedspread. We painted her room, got her new curtains, a new lamp, a new pink rocking chair, new shelves, new bedding, a new flower/plant, a new basket, and some new flower-decorated storage boxes. 
My parents were also part of the surprise by getting a desk for Emily, which she loved!
Yep, I think this face proves it! She was all smiles and was eager to share her "new room" with her friends!
Happy Birthday, Emily! 
Oh, yeah, and for Emily's big birthday lunch we surprised her with a trip to SONIC! Yep, they've finally moved a little more east...we visited the newly opened Sonic on Main Street in Bexley/Whitehall.
